NWAGC Committees & Councils

The Inland Northwest AGC encourages all of its members to get involved and participate in one of the many committees that help govern our organization. Contact information, meeting times, and more information for each committee can be found in the tabs below.

Building Council

The AGC Building Council was formed to serve as a forum for association members to discuss issues of importance to the commercial building industry. The Council will help formulate policy recommendations, serve as an educational resource to owners, legislators and the public and help advance the associations work on building related matters.

Primary Objectives

Build strong relationships with both public and private owners.
Identify key issues to track moving forward, including legislation, technology, workforce trends and more.
Help formulate policy recommendations for the Board of Directors.
Establish sub-committees and workgroups as needed for specific topics, including procurement methods, government affairs, technology, communications, education, etc.

Who Can Participate?

This council is open to all AGC member firms and their employees that perform building construction. We strongly encourage all Building General Contractor members to have at least one employee participate on this council. One of the primary benefits of this group will be the communication and outreach that is done on key issues and we would like to have all voices represented.

Highway/Transportation Council

This Council promotes the highway and transportation sectors of the construction industry and specifically works with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). This council serves as a forum to discuss issues of mutual concern and hear about progress made on issues raised by the industry.

Primary Objectives

Build strong relationships with both public and private owners.
Identify key issues to track moving forward, including legislation, technology, workforce trends and more.
Help formulate policy recommendations for the Board of Directors.
Establish sub-committees and workgroups as needed for specific topics, including procurement methods, government affairs, technology, communications, education, etc.
Encourage participation in and provide updates on established AGC/WSDOT Committees.

AGC Forums

We are pleased to announce our new AGC Construction Forums. These forums provide members a way to engage with the Association on the topics and issues that are important to you. All forums will be held virtually and participation requires no commitment to attend meetings or participate in committees. Additionally, all Forums will be recorded and available to view if you are not able to attend.

We encourage all of our members to check out these new forums and get involved with your AGC!

Safety Forum

Formerly the AGC Safety Committee, this group will continue to meet monthly to discuss the latest safety issues affecting our members, share best practices and get to know your fellow safety professionals.

AGC Divisions

AGCA Forums

AGC contractor members are served by four Occupational Divisions – the Building, the Federal and Heavy Construction, the Highway and Transportation, and the Municipal & Utilities Divisions. The Occupational Divisions provide members from specific industry segments the opportunity to stay informed of emerging issues and trends that are relevant to the type of construction work they perform every day. AGC also encourages involvement and dialogue with and between all segments of the construction industry. Members may elect to participate in the Specialty Contractors Council, the Service & Supply Members Council, and the Private/Public Industry Advisory Council.
